Understanding the 8(a) Business Development Program
The Small Business Administration (SBA) has created the 8(a) Business Development Program to help small disadvantaged businesses that meet specific socio-economic criteria compete effectively in the federal government marketplace. Designed for firms that are owned and controlled at least 51% by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, the 8(a) Program helps these businesses gain a foothold in federal government contracting by competing in set-aside procurements against like-sized companies, and to even receive sole-source awards when these entities fill a specific mission need deemed unique and essential by a government buyer. Businesses who receive 8(a) certification have passed rigorous vetting and performance requirements established by the SBA.

Establish a partnership with GSMA by providing a letter of consent authorizing us to serve as a value-added reseller (VAR) of your products and services.
GSMA will target and search for government contracting opportunities utilizing the NAICS codes that you provide. To maximize our efforts, your company can provide leads - including current and potential government accounts - that we can jointly pursue and market your products and services to. We can also work together to inform government buyers that they can now procure your products via a SBA Certified 8(a) business and take advantage of contracting vehicles such as set-aside solicitations and sole source contracts.
